The Billiards Café in Ayer, Ma. hosts a youth league for boys and girls 8-17 years of age. League play takes place each Saturday from 3pm to 6pm at the Billiards Café at 39 Main St in Ayer.

The manner of play is a team format. Players will be grouped into teams of up to 5. Three matches will be played each week. Team members not playing will have free practice time; no player will sit out 2 consecutive weeks.

All play will be under the rules of the American Poolplayers Association (APA). The rules can be downloaded from www.poolplayers.com.

The cost is $6 per week if a match is played, nothing if a player does not play a match. Membership in the APA is required, dues are $10 per year.

No experience is necessary. All players are given a ranking by the APA, and all matches are handicapped according to the skill level of the players.
